Meet the team:

Joanne Ward - Operations Manager

Joanne Ward is the new Operations Manager for One Medicare @ The Light and One Medicare @ Hilton Road. She joins us with in depth experience of working with the local care community and in particular urgent care. Joanne is particularly looking forward to developing the patient centric ethos of One Medicare by being actively involved with every aspect of the patient experience.



Sue Smith - Lead Nurse

As well as co-ordinating, leading and developing the nursing team and services at both One Medicare @ The Light and One Medicare @ Hilton Road, Sue continues to carry out her role as a Nurse Practitioner with a background in Elderly Care and Practice Nursing.

She is involved in assisting in the development of new services at the surgery and is also a mentor and part-time lecturer at Leeds Metropolitan University.


Dr Tessa Mattam - Lead GP

Dr Mattam has been working for One Medicare since she qualified as a GP in September 2007. She became a lead GP in April 2010 with responsibility for developing clinical protocols and supporting and guiding clinical staff. Dr Mattam is the Practice Lead for Practice Based Commissioning and has qualifications in family planning and women's health.

One Medicare @ Hilton Road is a small run practice in the Chapeltown area of Leeds, offering NHS healthcare to all local residents to the residents of this suburb of Leeds.
